On May 8, the inauguration ceremony of the Regional Headquarters of MNC in Beijing for Varian China and the unveiling ceremony of the Top 100 Enterprises in Beijing E-Town were held at Varian Medical Systems' Beijing headquarters. The event marks another milestone in Varian Medical Systems' investment in China and a new stage in the company's strategic layout in Beijing.

Varian Medical Systems began its journey in China in 1983 and established a factory in Beijing E-Town in 2007. Inmore than 40 years of development, Varian has made outstanding contributions to bringing world-leading technology to China and improving the level of healthcare service in the country.

Varian Medical Systems has established a global innovation center in Beijing E-Town, achievingsignificant breakthroughs in its research and development (R&D) efforts in China andidentified as a foreign-funded R&D center in Beijing. In recent years, through consistent investment increase, production expansion, and high-quality development, itsfactory in China has become Varian Medical Systems' most comprehensive R&D and production base for its global product lines,exporting82 percent of its products to nearly 90 countries andregions worldwide, andenabling the "Intelligent Manufacturing in Beijing" to serve the world. Meanwhile, Varian Medical Systems continues to enhance itsheadquarter functions and business group structure of the Beijing base, makingthe headquarters of Varian Greater Chinagrow even stronger.

In the first quarter of 2024, Varian Medical Systemshas achieved a good start ofthe year, with industrial output value, sales revenue, and export delivery value all harvestinga year-on-year growth. This robust performance has contributed to the overall economic development of Beijing E-Town.
