On June 28, 2022, "Diplomatic Envoys Visit Aerotropolis" and the "Asia-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center" Awarding Ceremony were held. Ambassadors to China from Ghana, Zimbabwe and other African countries gathered in Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone to witness the awarding ceremony of the Asia-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center, the Industry Collaboration Center, and the Government-Enterprise Industry-Academia-Research Center in Daxing International Airport Economic Zone. Asia-Africa Silk Road International Business Co., Ltd., as the exclusive operator of the Asia-Africa Innovation and Cooperation Center, will be located in the Daxing International Airport Economic Zone, together with many foreign-invested enterprises. As an important platform for China-Africa business exchange, the Asia-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center will carry out precise collaboration with African countries, introduce high-quality foreign-funded enterprises, improve the foreign-funded business environment, and provide one-stop services for enterprises to settle in. The cooperation between China and Africa in the fields of trade, investment, science and technology, environmental protection, cultural tourism, and talent development will be deepened through practical actions.

As an important project in the construction of the international consumption hub in Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone, the International Innovation Center will be built into a new business card for international interactions of the capital, a new platform for international enterprises exchanges, and a demonstration project carrying the functions of Beijing as an international exchange center. To promote integrated development, it will integrate the exhibition and display platforms, the international exchange promotion platform, and the incubation and innovation platform. The Asia-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center is the first key project of the International Innovation Center. At present, the total number of registered enterprises in Daxing International Airport Economic Zone has reached 2,643, including 45 with foreign capital.
