According to the China Unicorn Enterprise Research Report (2025) released at the Global Unicorn Company Conference[1] , a part of the 2025 ZGC Forum Annual Conference, Beijing is now home to 115 unicorn enterprises with a total valuation of USD 594.9 billion, maintaining its position as the leader in both number and valuation of unicorn enterprises in China.

For five consecutive years, Beijing has been ranking first in China in both the total number and valuation of its unicorn enterprises. These companies, driven by vigorous innovation, are accelerating the development of new quality productive forces. In 2024, 23 new unicorn enterprises emerged in Beijing, with 13 specializing in cutting-edge future industries including general artificial intelligence, smart mobility, cell and gene therapy, commercial spaceflight, metaverse, and new-type energy storage.
