The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will take place at both the China National Convention Center and the Shougang Park in Beijing from September 12 to 16. At the press conference held by the State Council Information Office, P.R.C. on August 30, Piao Xuedong, director-general of Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, said that the 2024 CIFTIS will continue to provide better services for exhibitors and visitors. In light of the layout changes to the Shougang Park venue, this year's CIFTIS service support has undergone a comprehensive upgrade, aiming to create a more engaging and rewarding experience for them.
First, more convenient transportation services. The Shougang Park has undergone extensive adjustments and upgrades to its overall layout, resulting in a reorganized traffic flow that segregates pedestrians from vehicles. The increased frequency of electric shuttle buses has significantly improved transportation within the park. Notably, the introduction of an east entrance lobby stands as a groundbreaking achievement, marking the first instance of entrance lobbies available in all four directions - east, south, west, and north - seamlessly integrated with the surrounding municipal roads and metro stations. With more than 20 parking areas within the park to offer 6,600-plus spaces, smooth traffic operations and orderly parking can be ensured. A shuttle service has been established between the China National Convention Center and the Shougang Park, with a 15-minute peak interval, fully meeting the exhibition needs of visitors.
Second, more diverse dining options. The China National Convention Center has boosted its dining capacity by establishing a new POLPAS shopping center around the venue, which offers a wide array of dining choices for attendees and exhibitors. Within the Shougang Park, diverse catering areas, food trucks, and time-honored brand catering areas provide an even richer and more varied culinary experience.
Third, better supporting services. Within the Shougang Park, the exhibitors are provided with a full spectrum of services, encompassing booth construction, power supply, and network access. In addition, user-friendly facilities such as inquiry points, negotiation spaces, rest areas, and sunshades have been set up outdoors. The guidance signage within the park and the CIFTIS area has been optimized with an addition of over 80 fixed signs in more than 20 groups, making it easier for exhibitors and visitors to quickly reach their destinations. Moreover, dedicated exit-entry service desks have been set up at both the China National Convention Center and the Shougang Park, offering exhibitors convenient access to policy consultations and exit-entry document processing.
Fourth, more convenient ticketing and badge services. This year's CIFTIS continues the management model of onsite review, production and issuance of badges, with badge centers established at both the China National Convention Center and the Shougang Park to facilitate attendees and exhibitors in claiming, supplementing, or replacing badges. Additionally, visitors can access the ticket booking system to make reservations or purchase tickets through the CIFTIS' official website, mobile-end official website, official WeChat account, App and applet, or the official WeChat account of Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events. For professional visitor days from September 12 to 14, this year's CIFTIS specially introduces three-day tickets on the basis of one-day tickets, making it more convenient for visitors to attend the fair; while admission is free during the period of public open days from September 15 to 16.
Last, enhanced trading function. This year, the CIFTIS digital platform has introduced the "Business Meeting" feature. This new addition allows exhibitors to initiate online meetings tailored to their specific negotiation needs and schedule onsite meetings in advance, encouraging exhibitors and professional visitors to establish preliminary negotiation intentions before the fair. Additionally, targeted business matchmaking sessions will be organized for purchasers expressing project cooperation and purchase intentions, aiming to facilitate exhibitors and professional visitors in finalizing transactions and achieving optimal outcomes during the fair.
