The China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) has emerged as a platform for efficient communication and cooperation among exhibitors, making it the top choice for many foreign companies making forays into the Chinese market. The 2024 CIFTIS will be held at both China National Convention Center and Shougang Park in Beijing from September 12 to 16. At the press briefing of 2024 CIFTIS Thematic Exhibition on Environmental Services held recently, it was revealed that a number of overseas enterprises have chosen to make their China debuts at the fair, presenting globally groundbreaking achievements.
This year, the CIFTIS Thematic Exhibition on Environmental Services will feature more than ten Fortune Global 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises from countries and regions including Austria, Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, and Brazil. They will unveil their latest innovation technologies, offering solutions to global environmental issues.
For example, Raizen, a Fortune Global 500 company from Brazil, and Carbios, a French listed biotech company, have decided to debut in China by participating in the CIFTIS. During the fair, Raizen will introduce its China market cooperation initiative to showcase the globally groundbreaking second-generation ethanol (E2G) technology, which converts biological waste into biofiber-based ethanol fuel. Simultaneously, it will launch systematic solutions for sustainable, low-carbon transportation.
Carbios, dedicated to the development and industrialization of bio-enzymatic solutions, had its breakthrough technologies featured in the world-renowned science journal Nature in 2020 and 2024, respectively. At this year's CIFTIS, Carbios will exhibit its globally leading bio-recycling plant, PET recycling technology, and enzyme degradation solutions for plastic and textile waste. Additionally, it will deliver a keynote speech at the "Promotion Conference for Cooperation in Green New Quality Productive Force Industries" held during the fair.
Swiss-based air quality technology company IQAir, a technical partner of the United Nations Environment Programme, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), and Greenpeace, will participate in the CIFTIS for the first time. With a focus on corporate ESG development, the company will unveil the 2023 IQAir ESG White Paper: Breathing Cleaner Air in a Sustainable Future and demonstrate its "Smart Panoramic Air Monitoring Solution".
