The 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) Cultural and Tourism Services Sector will present a spectacular exhibition at Shougang Park. Centered around the exhibition theme of "Technology Empowering New Cultural and Tourism Services, Creativity Leading New Consumption," 817 companies, including 47 Fortune 500 companies and industrial leaders, will participate in the event.

The exhibition features a wide range of projects that demonstrate the integration of culture and technology, offering rich digital experiences. It aims to seamlessly blend tradition with modernity, inviting numerous top industrial enterprises to collaborate in creating immersive multi-scenic experiential spaces.
Beijing is actively promoting the integration of "culture+" with other industries. In the first half of 2023, the city's cultural industry registered a revenue of 953.53 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%, demonstrating steady growth. The revenue of new business formats in the cultural sector reached 642.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.2%, accounting for 68.8% of the total revenue of cultural enterprises in the city. This represents a two-percentage-point increase compared to the previous year.
Highlight 2: New Exquisite Products and Formats Leading Cultural Consumption
In 2022, the revenue from content creation in Beijing's cultural industry reached 480.12 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%. In the first half of 2023, it achieved a revenue of 272.29 billion yuan, a significant increase of 33.1% compared to the previous year. Among the fine works of art born in Beijing, 10 have been honored with the "Best Works Award" at the 16th Cultural and Ethical Progress Award, and won the "Wenhua Award" for four consecutive sessions. Beijing ranks first in the country in terms of the number of radio, television, and online audio-visual works produced in the city. Beijing-produced films dominated the top ten box office rankings for domestic films, with cumulative box office takings of 47.4 billion yuan.
Beijing encourages traditional theaters, theme parks, park blocks, cultural heritage sites, and commercial complexes, among others, to innovate space alteration, enrich performance forms, and develop engaging, interactive, and immersive performing arts projects.
Highlight 3: Showcasing the Beauty of Beijing Through New Stories and New Forms of Communication
"The Eighth Colorful World - Cultural Exhibition of Belt and Road Partner Countries", organized by the Information Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, has invited more than 30 embassies and institutions from Belt and Road partner countries to engage in exchange activities.
