After applying for business closure for the first time, the market entity concerned may apply to extend the closure period before it ends or may apply for business closure again after resuming operations. However, the cumulative business closure period must not exceed three years.
If a market entity decides on its own to suspend operations, it must file for business closure before ceasing operations. To apply for an extension of the closure period, it must file within 30 days before the current period expires.
Market entities can submit their applications on-site at the registration authorities or through the Beijing Enterprise Service e-Window Platform.
