Online identity verification is currently available for individuals holding one of six types of identity documents. A holder of the Residence Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents or the Residence Permit for Taiwan Residents can have his/her identity verified with his/her bank card. A holder of a foreign passport, Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card, Mainland Travel Permit for Residents of Hong Kong and Macao, or Mainland Travel Permit for Residents of Taiwan can go through facial recognition or use his/her bank card to finish identity verification and complete the entire business establishment processes online.
