1. The temporary inbound or outbound goods must fall within the scope defined under Paragraph 1, Article 3 of the Administrative Measures of the Customs of the People's Republic of China for Goods Temporarily Imported or Exported (Decree of the General Administration of Customs No.233).
2. Extension of temporary inbound or outbound goods: The temporary inbound or outbound goods shall be re-exported or re-imported within six months as of the date of entry or exit. In the case of any special circumstance under which it is necessary to extend the time limit, the ATA carnet holder or the consignee or consignor shall file an application for extending the time limit to the local competent Customs. The extension of the time limit shall not be more than three times and shall not exceed six months for each time. After the extended term expires, the goods shall be re-exported or re-imported, or the import or export procedures shall be gone through. As for the temporary inbound or outbound goods that are used for the important projects of the state or for scientific research projects of the state, and the articles in exhibitions for a term of more than 24 months, if it still needs to extend the time limit upon the expiry of the extension period, it shall be approved by the local competent Customs directly under the GACC.
1. For the confirmation of temporary inbound or outbound goods: A written confirmation application for goods temporarily imported or exported and a confirmation verification letter for temporary inbound or outbound goods issued by the XX Customs of the People's Republic of China are required.
2. For the extension of temporary inbound or outbound goods: A handling sheet for the extension of temporarily imported or exported goods is required.
