Recently, Emperor Watch & Jewellery Ltd. (Beijing) was officially designated as a regional headquarters of the multinational corporation. This brings the total number of headquarters enterprises in the Beijing CBD to 124. These corporations now account for over 70 percent of all headquarters enterprises in Chaoyang District and represent nearly 50 percent of the city's total.
The headquarters economy is a vital driver of industrial upgrading and urban improvement, and it is also a key pillar for Beijing's push to establish a new dual-circulation development pattern. Since the launch of the "Headquarters Growth Plan," the Beijing CBD has been studying the development of the headquarters economy and compiling a list of target enterprises. By focusing on key companies and carrying out continuous visits and surveys, it has worked to help them scale up and to support the designation of regional headquarters for multinational companies.
Looking ahead, the Beijing CBD Management Committee will continue to promote the "Headquarters Growth Plan." This involves providing tailored support under a "one enterprise, one policy" approach for key companies and continuously refining the tiered cultivation system for headquarters enterprises. The goal is to fully leverage the role of the headquarters economy in driving high-quality development across the district.
