Beijing's 476 listed companies reported a total revenue of CNY 25.7462 trillion in 2024, ranking first in China.
As of April 30, the number of listed companies in Beijing's jurisdiction was 476, accounting for 8.8 percent of the Chinese A-share market. According to the relevant report, their total revenue reached CNY 25.7462 trillion, accounting for 35.87 percent of the total revenue of all A-share listed companies, while their net profit stood at CNY 2.779453 trillion, representing 49.72 percent of the total. Both figures positioned the city at the top of national rankings.
The report notes that in 2024, Beijing-listed companies made significant strides in cultivating new quality productive forces, with a modernized industrial system taking shape at an accelerated pace. The companies listed in Beijing are mostly from industries such as computer, biopharmaceuticals, media, and telecommunications. These industries show a disproportionately high share of industrial R&D investments compared with their revenue contributions, indicating a strong focus on innovation. This innovation-driven approach is accelerating the development of new competitive strengths and growth engines, showcasing Beijing's unique "speed" in fostering new quality productive forces.
