
In 2024, Beijing saw the establishment of 2,012 new foreign-funded enterprises, marking a year-on-year increase of 16.4 percent.
Over the past year, the city has been advancing the development of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector. It has implemented a series of business-friendly measures to systematically enhance investment facilitation, introduced the Regulations of Beijing Municipality on Foreign Investment, and launched the "Global Service Partners Program[besteasy1] ", with 13 enterprises recognized as the first batch of "Global Service Partners". Beijing has also improved the roundtable meeting mechanism for foreign-funded enterprises and the "closed-loop" demand response mechanism, and held hundreds of roundtable meetings for foreign-funded enterprises.
Beijing's institutional innovation and the improvement of its service quality have attracted several landmark projects, such as Beijing BNP Paribas Tianxing Property Insurance Co., Ltd. and Prudential Insurance Asset Management Co., Ltd., to settle in the city. Additionally, eight global pharmaceutical giants, including Eli Lilly and Pfizer, have expanded their investments in the city.
