In 2024, Beijing's financial sector achieved a value-added of CNY 815.42 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 7.6 percent, the highest in the past five years.

In 2025, Beijing will fully support the establishment of a new pattern of development and further strengthen its role as the national financial management center in China. Efforts will be concentrated on five major areas: tech finance, green finance, inclusive finance, pension finance, and digital finance. Meanwhile, the capital will increase the provision of financial services targeted for the major strategies, key areas, and weak links, to promote high-quality development of its financial sector.
