On January 11, the 2025 Beijing Roundtable Meeting for International Convention and Exhibition Organizations was held in Beijing. A total of 15 guests from the international exhibition industry engaged in dialogue and exchanges around two topics: "How Conventions and Exhibitions Empower Urban Industrial Development" and "How the Convention and Exhibition Industry Drives Urban Consumption".
Participants came from more than 10 countries and regions, including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Singapore. The gathering of industry leaders at the meeting is a clear recognition of Beijing's influence in the global convention and exhibition industry, and demonstrates the confidence of the international community in China's development prospects.
In recent years, Beijing has hosted various branded conventions and exhibitions such as the China International Fair for Trade in Services, ZGC Forum, Beijing Culture Forum, Financial Street Forum, and the China Beijing International High-Tech Expo, further enhancing its influence in the international convention and exhibition industry. According to the organizers, the meeting serves as a platform for communication and cooperation, aiming to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with well-known international convention and exhibition organizations and industry institutions, attract internationally recognized exhibitions that align with the capital's functional positioning to be held in Beijing, and welcome such enterprises and institutions to establish a presence in the city. These will support Beijing in becoming an internationally influential exhibition hub, thereby advancing the city's development as an international consumption hub.
