Beijing Customs District P. R. China has recently released data on Beijing's foreign trade for the first three quarters of this year. The data shows that the total value of imports and exports has reached CNY 2.68 trillion, representing a growth of 1.3 percent.
In the first, second, and third quarters of this year, Beijing's imports and exports totaled CNY 899 billion, CNY 884.5 billion, and CNY 902.8 billion, respectively. State-owned enterprises in Beijing accounted for 73.9 percent of the region's imports and exports, with a total of CNY 1.98 trillion in the first three quarters, a 1.2 percent increase. The top 100 key enterprises in Beijing contributed a total of CNY 2.29 trillion, a 5.1 percent increase. Trade volumes between Beijing and major partners, including the EU, Australia, and Brazil, reached CNY 296.84 billion, CNY 144.87 billion, and CNY 143.74 billion, respectively, with corresponding growth rates of 4.8 percent, 8.7 percent, and 48 percent.
