In the first half of this year, the tax revenue of the Central Business District (CBD), a functional district of Beijing, exceeded CNY 70 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 20 percent. The number of buildings contributing over CNY 100 million in tax revenue reached 96, 14 more than that recorded in the same period in 2022.

The CBD, located beside the East Third Ring Road, is the most internationalized area in Beijing. Over half of the city's foreign-funded enterprises, international financial institutions, and international organizations have chosen to settle here. For this year alone, the number of regional headquarters of multinationals has grown by two, now totaling 110, accounting for 50 percent of the city's total figure.

After 30 years of development, Beijing's CBD has emerged as a key gateway for Beijing's opening up. It is now the top CBD in China and ranks seventh among its global counterparts. Currently, it continues to seek growth and enhance its capacity, aiming to evolve into a top-tier global CBD.
