Recently, six enterprises based in Shunyi District were listed as foreign-funded research and development centers in Beijing. Currently, the district is home to a total of 12 foreign-funded research and development centers, securing its position in third place among all districts in Beijing.

These newly established foreign-funded research and development centers in Shunyi cover the sectors of, such as, refrigeration compressors, medical devices, electronic materials, thermal energy equipment, life science instruments, and biomedicine. As important components of China's technological innovation system, these centers play crucial roles in introducing cutting-edge international technologies and attracting top-level talented individuals. Additionally, they contribute significantly to the enhancement of industrial technology levels and innovation capabilities, fostering the rapid growth of both global industry chain and innovation chain.

According to a key figure of Shunyi District Science and Technology Commission, the district will encourage the collaboration between research and development centers, local enterprises, and universities to drive technological innovation jointly, give new impetus to the economic growth of Shunyi and Beijing, and make substantial contributions to the overall advancement of the city.
