The third batch of the list of the recognized foreign-funded research and development centers in Beijing was recently announced. Five enterprises in Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone were approved, namely Beijing Hanmi Pharm. Co., Ltd., Beijing LabTech Instruments Co., Ltd., Beijing Med-Zenith Medical Technology Co., Ltd., Nidec Compressor (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and Kempur Microelectronics Inc. This brings the total number of the municipal-level foreign-funded research and development centers approved in Shunyi District to 12, with eight of them located in Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone.
With a steadfast commitment to facilitating the development of foreign-funded enterprises, Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone (hereinafter referred to as the "Zone") incorporates them into its overall industrial development layout. Currently, the Zone is home to more than 300 foreign-funded enterprises representing 20 countries and regions. The foreign-funded research and development centers have played vital roles in optimizing the allocation of global innovation resources and driving industrial upgrading. Coupled with a considerable number of talented minds, the advanced research and development achievements of these centers will attract foreign investment with higher quality and stimulate rapid regional economic growth.
"Moving forward, Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone will persistently offer targeted services for the foreign-funded enterprises based in it, accelerate the upgrade and transformation of infrastructure, enhance the quality of international education, healthcare, and commercial supporting services, to create an even more favorable business environment, and promote high-quality development of the Zone," stated a person in charge from the management committee of the Zone.
