The 14th Five-Year Plan period will see Changping District embark on the building of a world-class "Life Science Valley" innovation corridor with no less than 3,000 mu of land dedicated to the medical and health industry.

With the most vibrant life science innovation resources in China, the Zhongguancun Life Science Park has managed to bring together the entirety of the industrial chain after more than 20 years of development. In the future, the park will target industrial development by adhering closely to two core driving forces, namely biological and digital technologies, and focusing on cell and gene therapy, AI+ healthcare and other advanced technologies. With the goal of fostering a more distinctive innovation hub for high-end, precision and sophisticated industries, the park will lead the all-round development of cutting-edge biotechnology, strengthen innovative pharmaceutical equipment, precision medicine and other mature technologies, and accelerate cutting-edge technological breakthroughs and the incubation of high-tech enterprises. In addition, the park will continuously expand development space and coordinate the building of the "Life Science Valley" innovation corridor as it optimizes the innovation services system for an innovation and business environment up to international standards.
