Daxing District of Beijing recently signed contracts with 34 high-tech enterprises for the building of "two zones". The scope of the contracts span across cutting-edge industries such as bio-medical health, artificial intelligence and big data, semiconductor integrated circuits, next-generation rare earth materials, hydrogen energy R&D and applications, and international fashion.

The future output value of the signed businesses is expected to reach CNY 100 billion. A local official in charge explained that signing of the contacts would further enhance Daxing District's advantages in leading industries such as airport economy, digital economy, bio-medicine and intelligent manufacturing while improving its industrial influence as a new gateway for the country.

The signing enterprises will plan and land key projects in the China-Japan Innovative Cooperation Demonstration Zone, Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone, Daxing International Airport Economic Demonstration Zone, ZPark Daxing Bio-medicine Industry Park, and Daxing New Media Development Zone.

Beijing's China-Japan Innovative Cooperation Demonstration Zone will build an industrial system with healthcare, cutting-edge smart manufacturing and future travel at its core, with bio-chemical engineering, materials science, modern technology, artificial intelligence and energy applications as its five industrial chains, and with the modern service industry as its support. Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone has built a demonstration station with the largest daily hydrogen refueling capacity in the world, and is able to support an abundance of hydrogen energy application scenarios.

Daxing International Airport Economic Demonstration Zone will build a "1+2+2" industrial system that is guided by the bio-tech sector, based on high-end hub services and aviation support, and with new-generation information technology and smart equipment manufacturing as its reserve. The ZPark Daxing Bio-medicine Industry Park will form a "1+4+2" development paradigm with verification research and development as its leading sectors, bio-pharmaceuticals, medical devices, modern Chinese medicine and innovative chemical drugs as its four main pillars, and healthcare and animal medicine as the two wing sectors.

Daxing New Media Development Zone will strive to build a sophisticated economic structure with scientific and technological innovation, cultural creativity and digital economy as the foci of development, along with with new-generation information technology, technology service industry, digital creativity and design, and next-generation audiovisual industry as its content.
