"The most wonderful change I've felt is that Beijing's sky has turned to dreamlike blue," said Fernando Lugris, Ambassador of the Oriental Republic of Uruguayan to China, who took office in Beijing in 2015. Over the past nearly eight years, Ambassador Lugris has witnessed the efforts of the Chinese government and the Beijing municipal government to promote sustainable development and a green economy. He believes that Beijing has achieved tremendous success in green development, with technology being well embedded in daily life. Services such as shared bicycles and smart transportation have greatly enhanced the well-being of the citizens. Ambassador Lugris stated, "Beijing will become greener and more modern in the future."
