The "Beijing Gifts" Grand Canal-themed store, the first of its kind in China to feature the concept of "Hao Yun Lian Lian" (好运连连, meaning "good luck one after another"), recently opened at Tingyun Town in Wanli, a shopping complex in Tongzhou District of Beijing. A special exhibition featuring original props from the classic 1986 TV adaptation of Journey to the West (a novel about the fictionalized adventure of a monk named "Xuanzang" and his three disciples) also opened on the same day.

The first floor serves as the store's main exhibition area, centered around the "Hao Yun Lian Lian" theme. It brings together a selection of "Beijing Gifts" products, traditional handicrafts inspired by intangible cultural heritage items from areas along the Grand Canal, designer products, and souvenirs featuring distinctive elements of Beijing. Visitors can also enjoy "Yuncha" (运茶), a range of wellness-inspired tea drinks. Together, these offerings transform the thousand-year history and culture of the Grand Canal into products and experiences that visitors can see, touch, taste, and share.

The store also offers a range of creative cultural products featuring popular original characters and designs, including items for household use, office use, and gift-giving. Other souvenirs draw inspiration from the Grand Canal's historic role in grain transportation, incorporating elements such as the "Eight Scenic Spots of Tongzhou" and traditional canal boats (models).

The second floor features a dedicated nostalgic exhibition space displaying original props from the 1986 TV series Journey to the West.
The store also includes an experiential space dedicated to intangible cultural heritage, combining live performances, cultural learning activities, and hands-on craft workshops, among others. Traditional performances such as shadow puppetry will be held regularly, bringing classic scenes from Journey to the West vividly to life.
