Recently, Beijing unveiled the multilingual Beijing Departure Tax Refund Guide (the Guide for short) and a digital map pinpointing departure tax refund stores across the city, aiming to offer greater convenience for inbound tourists shopping in this city. 

The Guide is available in seven languages (Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, Russian, and Mongolian), featuring step-by-step, visual instructions. Through a mix of texts and infographics, it clearly states the requirements for getting refunds, related procedures, and answers to FAQs.

In a parallel move, the Beijing Municipal Tax Service also launched the mobile version of the "Digital Map of Departure Tax Refund Stores in Beijing" which pinpoints the geographical locations of more than 1,000 stores handling departure tax refunds in the city. Key features include real-time navigation, multi-filter search, and a bilingual interface (in Chinese and English), enabling overseas visitors to quickly locate their intended stores on their phones.

Currently, the Beijing Municipal Tax Service has distributed the copies of the Guide at the first points of entry of inbound travelers, such as the "Beijing Service" service counters and the convenience payment service centers for overseas travelers at the two airports. QR codes leading to the digital map can also be spotted at these places. Simultaneously, these materials are also being made available in major commercial areas and hotels frequented by foreign guests.
