The first wave of ice and snow-themed events are on their way to Beijing. Make plans ahead so you can fully enjoy the seasonal fun with your friends and family.


1. 1st "Rockin' Winter (DONG) Ice and Snow World" at Beijing Workers' Stadium

This event offers over 20 options covering entertainment, sports, culture, catering, performances, etc. Tickets can be purchased on platforms like Maoyan (猫眼) and Douyin (抖音)!

Time: from December 18, 2024 to mid-to-late February 2025

Location: Beijing Workers' Stadium (enter from the north gate)


2. 11th Ice Fitness Event at the Summer Palace

The Summer Palace houses the largest outdoor ice rink in Beijing, which can accommodate up to 5,000 people.

Time: From late December 2024 to February 3, 2025

Location: The main area of Kunming Lake in the Summer Palace


3. 14th Happy Ice and Snow Season at the Bird's Nest

The 14th Bird's Nest Happy Ice and Snow Season will partner with the popular game "Eggy Party" to create the first large-scale stadium-based cultural tourism program focusing on winter sports, adopting a model that integrates both offline and online events.

The "One-for-All Passes" will be introduced for the first time, allowing every visitor to gain access to all facilities after purchasing the pass. Ticket reservations can be made through "Chaopiao" (巢票) WeChat mini-program, as well as various mainstream online ticketing platforms and their WeChat mini-programs.

Time: From mid-December 2024 to mid-February 2025

Location: National Stadium (Bird's Nest)


4. 11th Ice and Snow Carnival Event Series in Dongcheng District

Snowfields, ice rinks, ice sculptures and more! Starting from the end of December, the events of the 11th Ice and Snow Carnival will kick off one after another in various parks in Dongcheng District. Citizens will be able to fully enjoy the fun of winter sports thanks to the opening of several entertainment facilities, leisure experience projects, and fancy events.

Time: End of December

Locations: Longtan Park, Longtan Central Park and Liuyin Park


5. 2024-2025 Winter Ice Cultural Events at Beihai Park

The events at this park infused with the rich atmosphere of classic Beijing ice sports will include unique ones like traditional ice performances.

Time: From late December 2024 to February 3, 2025

Location: The Lotus Lake of Beihai Park


6. 15th Ice Carnival at Taoranting Park

At the largest ice and snow park within the 2nd Ring Road, you can enjoy unique interactive events such as penguin parades and clown performances.

Time: From late December 2024 to mid-February 2025

Locations: The East Lake and the South Lake of Taoranting Park


7. 8th Happy Ice and Snow Season at Zizhuyuan Park

Tourists have been drawn to Zizhuyuan Park's ice slide, which first gained widespread attention among netizens. The slide has been continuously upgraded over the years, and its popularity has remained strong for a long time.

Time: From late December 2024 to mid-to-late February 2025

Locations: The Great Lake, the South Little Lake, and the North Little Lake in Zizhuyuan Park


8. 16th Ice and Snow Season at Yuyuantan Park

The early cherry blossoms grown in the park's greenhouse will bloom during the Spring Festival. Visitors can embrace a touch of spring in advance while enjoying the fun brought by ice and snow.

Time: From late December 2024 to mid-February 2025

Locations: The West Little Lake, the East Little Lake, and the southern part of the West Lake South in the Cherry Blossom Garden of Yuyuantan Park
