On November 11, the 2026 Beijing Museum Pass (2026年北京博物馆通票) was officially launched.

The new edition features 140 venues across six categories: history, technology, education on the history of revolution, art, former residences of notable figures, and cultural tourist attractions. Each venue occupies a dedicated page with useful details such as address, contact number, opening hours, ticket prices, transportation routes, and parking availability, along with introductions and recommended highlights.

Just like its old versions, this pocket-sized book requires no photo attachment and can be used by the whole family. Priced at 120 yuan per copy, the pass offers free or discounted admission for two people at the vast majority of the included locations for the entire year. The total value of ticket discounts and waivers provided by the participating fee-charging sites alone exceeds 3,800 yuan per pass.

The pass is also available in a special gift box edition, which includes one pass and two auspicious coins. Holders can also use their passes to participate in activities such as museum tours and the Borui Lecture (博睿讲堂) series, to learn about the achievements of Beijing's "City of Museums" initiative.
