Beijing Folklore Museum (the Administrative Office of Beijing Dongyue Temple) is the only state-owned museum dedicated to folk culture in Beijing. It resides in Beijing Dongyue Temple, a national key cultural relic protection unit located at 141 Chaoyangmenwai Street, Chaoyang District. The museum was officially opened to the public in 1999.

Beijing Folklore Museum aims to build itself into a research, exhibition, and activity center of Beijing folk customs. It has folk exhibitions all year round and has held more than ten large-scale exhibitions such as "Exhibition on Life Ritual and Cultural Customs" and "Exhibition on Old Beijing's Commercial Folklore Culture". In addition, the museum will also hold a variety of folk activities on traditional festivals such as the Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Double Ninth Festival.
