The "2025 Consumption Promotion Month and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Consumption Season" kicked off on February 22. From this day till the end of March, Beijing will launch nearly one thousand events themed on "Colorful Beijing, Wonderful Consumption" to meet diverse consumer demands.
Premium events such as the 2025 Fengtai Consumption Season and Shijingshan Jingxi (Western of Beijing) Consumption Festival will be launched, starting a regional consumption craze.
Many time-honored brands, China-chic brands, and foreign trade enterprises will offer a series of national trendy products. For example, Ziguangyuan has introduced a new product, milk skin yogurt. The China-chic brand Eve Remote Mountain Bazaar relies on intangible cultural heritage techniques and traditional patterns of ethnic minority groups to develop a series of clothing products.
Nearly 100 major shopping malls, shopping centers, supermarkets such as New World Department Store, Wumart, and Yonghui will offer multiple discounts. Many catering companies, such as No. 69 Fangzhuanchang and Bianyifang, will give discounts and free gifts to purchases with a certain amount. The city will continue to partner with key enterprises to implement the "trade-in of old consumer goods" policy, covering various products including mobile phones, tablets, home appliances, and cars.
Fashion events such as China International Fashion Week and Beijing Fashion Week will be held to support malls in key business district to launch new seasonal products. Cultural tourism landmarks like 798·751 Park will also host featured events such as the "798 Art, Science, and Technology Biennale".
At the Beijing micro vacation destinations, the 2025 "Spring Flower Festival" will be organized. Key events include the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships and the Beijing Cross Country Skiing Open. Regional resource characteristics will be fully exploited to create integrated events such as the Liangma River spring awakening sailing, Changping strawberry festival, and Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern Art Festival, offering one-stop experiences of travel, shopping, and entertainment.
In 2025, Beijing will establish a "1+12+17+N" event system, focusing on 12 major theme scenes (Blessings of Beijing, Spring Gifts of Beijing, Fashion of Beijing: Debut Shows, Flower Viewings in Beijing, Cultural Expos in Beijing, Strolling in Beijing, Taste of Beijing, Parent-Child Summer Holiday Activities in Beijing, Sports Events of Beijing, China-Chic in Beijing Autumn, Select Benefit of Beijing, Ice and Snow Activity of Beijing). The city will also create 17 premium events such as the Beijing International Cultural and Tourism Consumption Expo and the Sports Consumption Festival, encouraging various market entities to hold N consumption promotion events covering commerce, culture, tourism, sports and many other fields to stimulate market vitality.
