The year 2025 heralds the Year of the Snake on the traditional Chinese calendar, which coincides with the centenary of the founding of the Palace Museum. The museum's calendar for 2025 features an impressive collection of cultural relics housed in the museum and its stories over the past 100 years.

The pages for January, under the theme "Auspicious Snake Brings Good Fortune", feature the photos of 31 snake-related artifacts, showcasing the snake elements in the Forbidden City. The pages spanning from February to September showcase a selection of the Palace Museum's cultural relics from various dynasties. The remaining part (from October to December) focuses on the museum's century-long history, introducing the maintenance of ancient buildings, the restoration of cultural relics, the organization of special exhibitions, and the arrangements of permanent exhibition halls. The cover features part of a paper painting of the statues of deities in the Hall of Imperial Peace (Qin'andian) against a calm khaki background. In addition, the new calendar adopts AR technology, allowing every holder to view a cultural relic each month by scanning the page of each day.

In collaboration with the renowned artist Han Meilin, Beijing Daoxiangcun has introduced the limited-edition Xiaoqingbing (Small Green Cake). For the pattern of a snake on each piece of cake, Han used distinctive lines to add anthropomorphic feelings, joy, sweetness, and childlikeness. The rich aroma of coconut pulp and the distinct flavor and texture of quinoa grains are combined in the thick, coconut-quinoa-flavored filling.
