Beijing to Launch Around 100 Themed Events for Consumers This December

Recently, the 11th Happy Ice and Snow Season for Beijing Citizens and the 2024-2025 Beijing Ice and Snow Sports Consumption Season were officially launched and will last until April 2025. A total of 30,000 consumption vouchers have been distributed citywide so far, with multiple ice and snow-themed events and international winter sports competitions scheduled to kick off.

Starting in late December, parks across Dongcheng District will unveil various recreational facilities, leisure experiences, and fun activities, as part of their ice and snow carnivals. Major commercial enterprises in Fengtai District will jointly launch ice and snow consumption events, offering a wide range of attractions like indoor and outdoor ice rinks, and ice and snow amusement parks.

The 5th Beijing Hot Pot Food Culture Festival was launched recently, along with multiple special sub-events. The "Guide for Discovering Beijing's Best Hot Pot Restaurants" is now available online. Beijing Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs launched “Beijing Distinctive Agricultural Products Zone” online to market Beijing's local agricultural products throughout the year.

Hongqiao Market in Dongcheng District will launch the "Hongqiao Premium Consumption Month" both online and offline in December. The event will feature a range of products including electronic products, digital gadgets, jewelry, gemstones, and tailored clothing. The online retailers are also offering year-end discounts in the meantime.

The New Year Shopping Festival at HUAXI LIVE Wukesong (also known as "Wukesong Culture and Sports Square") will blend folk culture with the traditional elements of old Beijing. The festival will showcase a great variety of goods, including daily necessities, clothing and accessories, items related to Spring Festival customs, as well as high-quality green farm products, local specialties, and geographical indication products from Liaoning, Shandong, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Anhui, Hebei, Hunan, Yunnan, and Fujian, and other provinces and autonomous regions.
