Three Major Cultural Buildings in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center

The three major cultural buildings in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center--Beijing Performing Arts Centre, Beijing Library, and the Grand Canal Museum of Beijing--have already become popular travel choices, especially among netizens.

Beijing Performing Arts Centre, situated on the bank of the thousand-year-old Grand Canal, is referred to as a "cultural granary" due to its distinctive design resembling an ancient granary. Recently, "The Legend of the White Snake", a Peking Opera production by the National Centre for the Performing Arts, and several other productions will be onstage here.

Entering Beijing Library, readers can engage in reading activities featuring artworks and urban life, and observe the stunning architectural charm marked by openness and shininess. Recently, events such as "Light of Printing --A Peek in China Printing Museum" will be held at the library.

The design of theGrand Canal Museum of Beijing was inspired by three elements in the ancient paintings about the canal, namely ships, sails, and water. The five sail-shaped roofs appear staggered and dynamic from a distance. A number of exhibitions including "Scroll of Landscapes of Beijing Grand Canal" are currently on display, something that should not be missed by those interested in them.
