With an increasing number of summer tourists, Beijing is further diversifying its summer commercial offerings by holding over a thousand promotional activities to boost new consumer demand.

It is reported that a series of promotional activities are scheduled to be launched in over 50 key business districts across the city, in collaboration with over a thousand brands, during important periods such as summer vacation, mid-year celebrations, stores' anniversaries, the back-to-school season, and the Qixi Festival. INDIGO will be pairing up with a cast of well-known Chinese avant-garde artists to present the "Run Art Museum" themed art exhibition. Chaoyang Joy City will hold its "Riding the Wave" trendy sports-themed event. The Blue Harbor will soon kick off its second art season...

Various consumer activities will also be held across the districts of Beijing. Xicheng District will simultaneously host the 2023 Xicheng District Food Festival, Beijing Coffee and Food Festival, Chinese Food Collective, and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Food Expo in key commercial areas and via "Xicheng Xiaofei" online platform. Haidian District will hold the 21st Zhongguancun International Food Festival, the "Smile Day Fairy Tale Kingdom" event, and the 14th Fragrant Hills German Beer Festival, among other food-relevant events. Pinggu District is organizing a series of activities under the theme of "Passionate Summer, Share the Joy", while Chaoyang District will set up a summer cultural square called "Linglongzhixia Summertime Cultural Square" in the Olympic Center Area, featuring various local gastronomical specialties as well as craft beer and the coffee varieties popular among netizens.

Plans are also reportedly in place for the 2023 (the 4th) "8.8 Beijing Sports Shopping Carnival" which will be held from August 1 to 31 and feature a combination of online and offline activities to promote a nationwide surge in sports consumption.
