On July 5, RoboCup 2026, known informally as the "Robot World Cup", concluded in Incheon, South Korea. Among the highly anticipated humanoid robot teams, Hephaestus Team of Tsinghua University, equipped with Booster T1 robots developed by Beijing-based Booster Robotics, successfully defended its world title by once again claiming the championship in the Humanoid Soccer League.

The first RoboCup was held back in 1997 and is now one of the world's most prestigious, largest and most influential robotics competitions, with the Humanoid Soccer League particularly drawing attention. At the 2025 competition in Brazil, Hephaestus Team won the AdultSize category in the Humanoid Soccer League, which was the first time a Chinese team has claimed the top honor in this category.

This year, 38 teams from China and other countries used robots manufactured by China's Booster Robotics. These robots swept every gold medal in the bipedal humanoid competitions. Compared with just five teams last year, more leading teams chose Chinese robots to compete this year, reflecting the growing confidence in the maturity of China's robotic technologies.
