On March 1, the "AI Security and Governance" sub-forum of the 4th Beijing Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation and Development Conference concluded at Phase II of the China National Convention Center. The forum brought together representatives from government, industry, academia, and research sectors to explore new pathways for AI security governance under the theme "Practices and Exploration in the Safe and Orderly Development of AI."
The event focused on innovation in AI security technologies, the construction and development of governance systems, and the implementation of industry standards. Discussions covered AI security risk prevention and control, trusted data circulation, and the improvement of legal safeguards. The forum established a full-chain exchange framework spanning policy guidance, technological breakthroughs, application scenarios, and industrial collaboration. It aimed to strengthen the foundation of AI development through sound security governance, address industry challenges through industry-research collaboration, and foster a more robust AI security governance ecosystem.
At the forum, the "Beijing Data & AI Security Testing Center" was officially inaugurated. The center will provide key support for Mentougou District's initiative to build a pilot zone for digital and intelligent security development. It will focus on core functions such as data and AI security testing, risk assessment, and standards development, helping address gaps in regional security governance. Leveraging the industrial ecosystem and computing power advantages of the "Western Beijing AI Valley" in Mentougou, the center will build a full-chain security support system to safeguard AI industry innovation and promote the high-quality development of Beijing's digital economy and AI security governance.
During the results release session, seven innovative achievements were showcased, including the AI Security Service Application Scenario Library, the "Shuzhifengjing" (数智枫景) Legal Map and Cloud Platform 2.0, and the Xinghai Data Middle Platform – a multimodal data processing solution. These initiatives cover critical sectors such as government services, the judiciary, and healthcare. Concurrently, the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID)'s MIIT Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence Scene Innovation and Intelligent Chip Evaluation announced four open research project calls, focusing on areas such as multimodal digital content authentication and detection, and compliant applications of large medical AI models, thereby creating a more precise link between technological supply and market demand.
