As China's first group standard focusing on the generation and application of AI-generated images, it sets out systematic and standardized criteria for key areas, including technical security, data compliance, content ethics, quality assessment, and reference methodologies. The standard not only provides clear technical guidance and reliable grounds for upstream and downstream sectors but also contributes to building a multi-stakeholder governance framework covering academia, the relevant industries, and governments. It will thereby help reinforce safety and ethical foundations for the innovative usage of AI-powered image generation technologies in China.
