The Beijing Rocket Street project has just finalized its final acceptance procedures, officially entering the operational phase five months ahead of schedule.
The Rocket Street, located in Beijing E-Town, is China's first common testing and R&D production base in the commercial space sector, with a total floor area of 145,000 square meters. The project features four major functional zones: a common technology platform, an innovation R&D center, a high-end manufacturing center, and an exhibition and operation control center.
The project is divided into eight service sections, including an innovation center, a section for comprehensive commercial space services, a section for common testing, and a section for intelligent manufacturing. By integrating the local industrial resources, it is expected to develop an industrial ecosystem in which companies at different locations are linked together as upstream and downstream segments of the industry chain. The project will offer more than 10 shared services, including those for R&D and testing of satellites and launch vehicles, as well as integrated air-space-ground operations and control.

The project also adopts a customized concept, achieving industry-leading standards in key parameters such as floor height, column spacing, and floor load-bearing capacity, while reserving space for future upgrades. It integrates dedicated facilities like a specialized testing center and a dedicated power facility designed to meet the requirements of specialized processes, forming an all-in-one industrial support area.
The commercial space industry is a key strategic industry in Beijing E-Town. The area is now home to over 180 related companies, with its commercial rocket companies accounting for about 75 percent of the national total, forming a complete industry chain covering launch vehicles, satellite manufacturing, advanced aerospace materials, and aerospace technology applications.
