On September 7, the first International Biomedical Industry Innovation Conference Beijing Forum (hereinafter referred to as the "Forum") commenced in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. The event saw the participation of experts and scholars from countries and regions, including the United States, the European Union, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Republic of Korea, as well as senior management personnel of 13 Fortune Global 500 pharmaceutical enterprises, and more than 200 Chinese experts, academicians and corporate representatives. They gathered to discuss new achievements, new updates, and new opportunities regarding the biomedical industry.

Four thematic forums were scheduled to be held between September 8 and 13, including the Innovative Medicine Research and Development and Evaluation Forum, Frontier Medicine Research and Development Thematic Forum, ICH Hotspot Guidelines Thematic Forum, and 2023 Asian Conference on International Biomedical Innovation. These forums were set to delve into discussions and collaborations on frontier technologies, innovative outcomes, international regulations, and other biomedicine-related areas.

During this period, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area has also signed agreements for a total of 18 cooperative projects in three categories, namely "Innovative Partnership", "Frontier Technologies" and "Advantageous Platforms", with a total investment of nearly CNY 3 billion.
