The launch ceremony of the 2026 Beijing Digital Economy Experience Week (the "Week" for short) was just held at Longfu Building on June 27. As a lead-in event to the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference, this year's Week is themed "Digital Waves, Smart Beijing" (数字潮涌·智启京城). Centering on digital consumption, digital culture, smart life and AI applications, it has been designed as a digital lifestyle carnival that integrates exhibition, hands-on experiences, shopping and interactive activities. The Week will run until July 3.

One of the highlights of this Week is a trendy digital market, which brings together more than 40 digital tech enterprises showcasing over 300 offerings of digital innovation, covering popular sectors including AI terminals, embodied intelligence, XR experiences and digital cultural products. Visitors can try out cutting-edge equipment firsthand and shop for creative digital lifestyle products, experiencing brand-new forms of digital spending through immersive interactions.
At the launch ceremony, three key initiatives to promote digital consumption were unveiled.
The Dual Action Plan for Optimization and Innovation (“一优一新”双推行动计划) focuses on fostering new business formats, application scenarios, and consumption modes in the digital economy.
The AI Empowerment Action Plan for Time-Honored Brands (AI赋能老字号行动计划) launched a pilot campaign involving the time-honored brands in Dongcheng District to accelerate the digital transformation of traditional businesses through artificial intelligence.
The Beijing Digital Consumption Map (北京数字消费地图) features key commercial districts across the city, detailing digital consumption options, distinctive retail destinations, and cultural and tourism resources for integrated online-to-offline (O2O) consumer experiences.
