On March 28 and 29, the Budapest Festival Orchestra will make a return visit to the National Centre for the Performing Arts under the baton of Maestro Iván Fischer. The two concerts will feature five classical works, four of them by composer Prokofiev. Notably, selections from the opera "The Love for Three Oranges" and the ballet "Cinderella" showcase the composer's boundless imagination in his fairy-tale creations. In addition, Brahms' "Symphony No. 2 in D Major", which the Budapest Festival Orchestra has previously recorded to critical acclaim, will be performed live on the NCPA stage, alongside Prokofiev's "Symphony No. 1 in D Major", together paying tribute to the era of Classical music.

Founded in 1983 by conductor Iván Fischer, the world-renowned Budapest Festival Orchestra has earned international acclaim for its innovative approach to music-making and the exceptional artistry of its musicians. It is widely regarded as the youngest among the world's top ten orchestras.
