On the evening of October 15, the 2025 Peking Opera Culture Season (hereinafter referred to as the "Season") kicked off at the People's Theatre of Beijing. It features two main venue events—the opening and closing ceremonies with cultural performances, four core sections including "National Essence Eternal Rhythm - Passing the Torch" (国粹恒韵·薪火相传) and "Youthful Peking Opera - Brilliance and Innovative Spirit" (青春京彩·锐意出新), and multiple projects of the opera industry.

The brand program "Peking Opera Promoter" (京剧推荐官) of the Season has been launched, inviting online influencers, vloggers, experts and scholars to join in, adding vitality to Peking Opera.

Among the first batch of key projects, the "Peking Opera Encyclopedia" short video series will release 20 works about how to learn about an opera in just 2 minutes. Online classes will also be launched through media.

Meanwhile, the Peking Opera-themed Pop-up Life Hall (京剧主题快闪生活馆) has been opened and three Peking Opera-themed study tours have been released. The hall is collaborating with the Xicheng Opera Cultural and Creative Store to offer services such as costume try-on and makeup experiences. The study tours meanwhile allow people to explore the history of Peking Opera and the charm of local life while traveling.
