The museum features a permanent exhibition titled "Chinese Comic Strip Art in 100 Years" (中国连环画百年艺术展), which presents the history, achievements and contemporary development of China's comic strips through awesome works by renowned artists. It also holds special exhibitions on original contemporary Chinese comic strips and other themes on an irregular basis. Housed within the museum is a comic strip bookstore selling related books, periodicals and creative souvenirs.

Its collection mainly includes comic strips from the Republic of China era, award-winning works since the foundation of the People's Republic of China, and original artwork manuscripts.
