The Palace Museum is a comprehensive museum established on October 10, 1925, based on the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties and their collections, and is also the largest museum of ancient culture and art in China.
The Palace Museum's collection system is complete, with a total collection of more than 1,860,000 pieces (sets). According to different textures and forms, it can be divided into 25 categories, including painting, calligraphy, steles, bronze, gold, and silver wares, among others. Precious cultural relics account for 90 percent of the total collection.
