Located on the second floor underground of the Wangfujing Department Store, Heping Guoju (literally "pastry shop") is the first immersive experience space in China that provides a vivid recreation of life as it was in old Beijing with structures such as hutong, grain and oil store, train station, and grocery store.

From the first floor underground to the second floor underground of the Wangfujing Department Store, the elevator covered with a red striped roof transports people back in time, taking them to the 2,400 sqm space consisting of pharmacy, grocery store, theater, temple, and hutong, among others. The urban vibes immediately take people back in time to the old Beijing from the last century. Strolling through the space, visitors can relive and reminisce about their childhood memories by tasting old Beijing walnut cakes, ox-tongue pastry, and handmade candies. In order to present a pure, real, and vivid Beijing, and restore the old Beijing that has become the past, the space also uses technology to bring to life the traditional Beijing cultural landscape and creates new Beijing-style snacks, novel cultural experience, diversified touring experience, and Beijing-style dining experience.
