The art of dough modeling has a long history. Early in the Han Dynasty, during the Nuo dance of the God welcoming ceremonies, the dough was used to create sculptures of ghosts and monsters. The materials of dough modeling are mainly flour and glutinous rice flour. Chemical additives are used to preserve the dough. It is quick and easy to make, so it can be enjoyed by all. Mr. Tang Zibo (1882-1971), the originator of "Master Tang's Dough Modeling," created pallet-type dough modeling based on traditional stick-lifting dough modeling. Feng Jie, the third-generation inheritor of Master Tang's Dough Modeling, adheres to the creative philosophy of "ensouling the works through vivid figures and striving for perfection," and promotes the development and innovation of the art. Feng's works have not only won many awards but have also been collected by major museums.
