Radial Pattern Paper-cutting (listed as an intangible cultural heritage in Haidian District) represents a traditional and widely popular folk art form in China, which uses simple tools and techniques and features a wide range of subjects. Born in Beijing in 1956, Zhang Fengqin, the inheritor of Radial Pattern Chinese Paper-cutting, learned paper-cutting from her grandmother early in her childhood. Her works are delicate and beautiful. She often focuses on Radial decorative patterns, animals, and various traditional auspicious objects, showing a strong folk-art style. Her representative works, such as "A Bright Future" and "A Blessed World", have won many prizes at international paper-cutting art exhibitions. In the efforts of teaching and popularization of paper-cutting art, Zhang Fengqin has achieved notable results.
