With the upcoming May Day holiday, adjustments to Beijing's traffic management measures for the motor vehicles registered in Beijing and the passenger vehicles registered outside Beijing have been announced for April 28, May 1 to May 5, and May 11, 2024. The measures will be adjusted as follows:

1. The motor vehicles registered in Beijing will not be subject to regional traffic control during peak hours on weekdays.

2. The passenger vehicles registered outside Beijing with Beijing Entry Permits (within the 6th Ring Road) will not be subject to regional traffic control, including the rules prohibiting such vehicles from driving on the 5th Ring Road and the roads within it from 7:00 to 9:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00, as well as the license plate-based restrictions from 9:00 to 17:00. However, they must adhere to the regulations prohibiting entry into the roads inside the 2nd Ring Road (including), Jianguomen Outer Street, Fuxingmen Outer Street, or Fuxing Road (between Muxidi Bridge and Xinxing Bridge) throughout the day.
