According to the notice on the adjustment to the traffic management measures for motor vehicles and non-resident passenger vehicles entering Beijing during the Qingming Festival holiday, from April 4 to 7, motor vehicles in Beijing are not subject to license plate-based restriction, one of the measures for regional traffic management during weekday peak hours.

During the holiday, non-local passenger vehicles entering Beijing with entry passes (for entering the area within the 6th Ring Road of Beijing) are exempt from the prohibition of driving on the 5th Ring Road and the roads within it of Beijing from 7:00 to 9:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, as well as the measure for regional traffic management from 9:00 to 17:00, which is based on the last number of each license plate. However, such vehicles must adhere to the regulation prohibiting entry to the 2nd Ring Road or the roads within it of Beijing, Jianguomen Outer Street, Fuxingmen Outer Street, or Fuxing Road (the section from Muxidi Bridge to Xinxing Bridge) every day.
