Beijing continues to optimize its consumer environment by encouraging the development of more 24-hour pharmacies and promoting cross-border e-commerce in pharmaceutical sales. The city now has 1,244 convenience pharmacies open around the clock.
Those pharmacies are spread across the city's 16 districts and Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, with 671 located in the six urban districts and 573 in suburban areas. They are mainly distributed in densely populated communities and near commercial facilities, meeting residents' 24/7 medication needs.
In the meantime, the 24-hour pharmacies have also established a presence on e-commerce platform for online sales, with 547 on JD.com, 877 on Meituan, 627 on Ele.me, and 200 on other e-commerce platforms.
