On October 15, the 2024 China-Europe Talent Forum was held in Beijing. This event included the release of the Global City Talent Retention Index 2024, as well as the launch of several China-Europe talent cooperation projects.

The Global City Talent Retention Index 2024 assesses the talent development environment and talent attractiveness of 120 cities in 41 countries from six dimensions: economy, innovation, culture and openness, environment and health, social welfare, and life quality. In the summary list for 2024, Beijing ranks fifth globally among major cities, remaining the only Chinese city in the top 10 for five consecutive years.

Beijing Municipal Talent Work Bureau, Beijing Association for Science and Technology and China Center for International Science and Technology Exchange signed a memorandum of cooperation on supporting the establishment of international science and technology organizations in Beijing. The memorandum aims to create a hub for such organizations in Beijing, attract high-level international science and technology exchange events, and engage global talent in building Beijing as an international science and technology innovation center.

Building on the Contact Beijing  - Global Network for Innovation Services (GNIS) platform, Global Beijing Overseas Talents Center teams up with Xicheng District to establish the GNIS China-Europe Innovation Center. This collaboration capitalizes on the resources from the New Actuation Fintech Center, the "Giant Port" national service platform for specialized and sophisticated "little giant" firms, and Potevio Desheng Incubator, to create a broad stage for young talented individuals from China and Europe to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship.

Peking University and Switzerland-based Adecco Group have officially unveiled their internship base, aiming to establish a robust mechanism for cultivating international talented minds. By providing internship opportunities, professional internship guidance, and career counseling, the base is expected to facilitate positive interaction between the two sides and prepare outstanding young students for global careers.
