On August 15, the 2025 "Check in Gulou West Street and Wander Along Yandai Xiejie" cultural consumption campaign was officially launched online. Featuring online and offline activities, the campaign will run through the end of October.

The August part is mainly about online engagement, integrating online and offline activities through the "Gulou West Street on Cloud" (云鼓西) WeChat mini-program. So far, the mini-program has already gathered over 100 high-quality businesses, museums and other cultural venues, such as dining venues known for traditional Beijing specialty dishes, trendy shops selling creative cultural goods, venues offering intangible cultural heritage experiences, and theaters. Popular check-in spots on Gulou West Street and the northern Central Axis, as well as the Shichahai region are all covered.
Through the mini-program, users can instantly access themed guides such as "Visiting Former Residences of Historical Figures" (探访名人故居) and "Strolling by Ancient Walls" (漫步古迹高墙) to plan their own cultural exploration routes. They can also claim exclusive discount coupons online and redeem them in-store. Additionally, the mini-program features a "Gulou West Accommodation Guide" (鼓西住宿指南) section, collaborating with nine selected hotels to provide exclusive accommodation benefits and reservation instructions, enabling everyone to make plans for accommodation and sightseeing in one go. In the "Partner Stories" (合伙人故事) section, users can listen to over 10 "Co-creation Partners of Gulou West Street" sharing their stories about the historic street. Users can also take part in the "Cultural Heritage: Appreciating Gulou West Street Today" (文化遗产赏鼓今) challenge, completing online missions to collect stamps, and exchange them for exquisite creative cultural gifts at Guo Shoujing Memorial Hall once a full set is completed.
