A total of 35 landmarks across the city are now displayed inside the train's carriages.

Beijing Subway has partnered with six districts — Shijingshan, Haidian, Xicheng, Dongcheng, Chaoyang, and Tongzhou — to explore the unique cultural and tourism resources in each district, focusing on "delicious food, exciting attractions, and great shopping spots". The themed posters inside the train present real photos of these must-visit locations along with travel routes, highlighting 35 iconic destinations such as Shougang Park, Yuanmingyuan Ruins Park, Beijing Fun, the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, the Liangma River, and the Grand Canal. Passengers can admire the capital's scenery inside the train and instantly plan their itineraries for wonderful summer trips.

The carriage layout in the 1960s has been recreated on the train.

Since its debut in August 2023, the "Time Traveller" has made appearances every summer and during holidays. The train's design incorporates the elements of the iconic subway models from different eras of Beijing Subway's history. The six-carriage train features two end carriages resembling those of the classic subway models from the 1960s and 1970s, featuring distinctive green seats arranged transversely, while the four middle carriages highlight respectively the elements from the 1980s and 1990s, as well as the "Dual Olympic" elements from the new millennium's first two decades.

Inside the train, passengers can find vintage items such as the subway route map from Beijing Subway's early days as well as old tickets, along with old-fashioned controllers used by drivers, signal lights, and signal flags. The exterior design not only replicates the exteriors of classic subway models but also integrates six iconic architectural elements: the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution, Beijing Hotel, Dongsi Shitiao Subway Station, the Central Radio and Television Tower, the National Stadium ("Bird's Nest"), and the Big Air Shougang.
